I was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. My father, Vince, is a former marine who fought in the Korean War
and is now retired and living in Hamilton with my mother, Pat. She worked in the post office for many years and retired as the
director of the Civil Rights Division at the US Patent Office. I have two older brothers: Mike, also
a former Marine, is currently a college student in St. Louis, and Jeff, who is an F-18 Hornet pilot in the US Navy
currently stationed on the USS Kitty Hawk.

After high school, I attended the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. majoring in Biomedical Engineering.
While there I worked in laboratories researching the risk factors for Alzheimer's Disease and, for fun, played the drums
for a local Baltimore band. Following graduation I moved to Athens, GA., and worked as a laboratory technician in
the Genetics Department at the University of Georgia. I also continued playing music, recorded an album and played shows
throughout the Southeastern United States. There I met my future wife, Julie, who was completing her Ph.D. in Genetics at
the University of Georgia. We got married and moved to Montana soon after her graduation
I now live in Corvallis with Julie, our 5 year old son Riley (born at Marcus Daly Hospital in August 2003) and our
3 mutt dogs. When I moved to Montana I began working as a technician at a veterinary laboratory, which eventually went
out of business. After this I worked temp jobs in construction and as a technical writer at RML until I was
fortunate enough to get a job with Corixa Corporation in 2002 (since bought out by GSK Biologicals). I now work as an
engineer in the process development group.
